Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager and Data Ops Manager in Romania, the Data Analyst will have to evaluate business process assumptions against data sets and produce reports that will help document new business  rules that will have to be implemented in order to automate the data validation process.

In doing so, the Data Analyst will have to interpret data and analyze the results using bespoke queries/scripts, statistical
queries.

• Implement scripts that evaluate business process assumptions;
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets;
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities for increasing efficiency and automation of processes;
• Document business process rules for technical implementation purposes;
• Monitor and audit data quality;
• Work with management to prioritize needs;
• Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines;

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst;
• Strong analytical skills in collecting, organizing, and analyzing significant amounts of information;
• Proficient in report writing and presenting findings;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Ability to plan work and meet deadlines;
• Basic knowledge of business analysis;

Technical Skills

• Proven understanding of SQL database querying;
• Proven scripting knowledge using Python and/or automation using Power Query;
• Strong knowledge of data analysis best practices;
• Proven knowledge of statistics experiences using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (MS Excel, Python scikit-learn, etc.);
• Proven understanding of data warehousing concepts like landing & staging interfaces, idempotent operations, etc.;
• Proficiency in MS Excel;
• Proven technical knowledge regarding data models, database development, shallow data mining;
• Basic knowledge of business analysis;
• Knowledge of business process modelling;
• Represents a plus experience with any of the following: Snowflake, Power BI Desktop, Tableau;

Education Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Computer Science / Management Information Systems
