About the Role

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer who will play a key role in designing and maintaining the data ecosystem that powers their product and business decisions.

You will be involved in:

 Data Engineering & Management

• Building and maintaining pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources (PostgreSQL, Firestore, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).

• Ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and consistency.

Data Modeling & Transformation

• Converting raw data into scalable, analysis-ready models using SQL and frameworks like dbt.

• Supporting business teams with well-structured datasets.

 Analytics & Reporting

• Creating dashboards and reports using Excel, Mixpanel, HubSpot, and BI tools.

• Documenting metrics and ensuring alignment across departments.

Automation & Scripting

• Developing Python scripts to automate data preparation, validation, and reporting workflows.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Translating complex technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical teams.

 AI-Enhanced Development (Vibe Coding)

• Working extensively with AI coding assistants to generate, refactor, and maintain production-ready code (approx. 75% AI-assisted development).

• Focusing on architecture, orchestration, and code review.

• Designing effective prompts, validating AI-generated code, and ensuring compliance with performance and security guidelines.

• Contributing to the evolution of internal best practices for human–AI collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves
✔ 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
✔ Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
✔ Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing
✔ Experience with data modeling, cleaning, and visualization
✔ Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
✔ Ability to design scalable data architectures
✔ Comfortable working remotely in an English-first, async-friendly team

Nice-to-Haves

•  Experience with AWS or GCP (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, QuickSight, etc.)
•  Ability to establish best practices for scalable, maintainable data infrastructure
