The Team:
Join our dynamic and expanding centralized team at HP, dedicated to harnessing the power of new AI/ML technologies, with a special focus on Generative AI and large language models. We collaborate with various business units, providing advice, prototyping solutions, and developing software applications for internal use.
The Role:
As a Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI, you will contribute to multiple projects across HP, leveraging large language models and other cutting-edge Generative AI capabilities. Your role extends beyond our team as you collaborate with business stakeholders and developers from diverse business units. The primary objective is to deliver effective business solutions to our internal customers, staying abreast of the latest developments in Generative AI while focusing on practical applications rather than research.
Skills and Profile:
- Solid foundation in data science and machine learning core skills.
- Expertise in NLP, Large Language Models, LLM prompt engineering, vector databases, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and search engines.
- Strong computer science skills with experience in a software development team, especially in cloud-based business applications.
- Proficiency in tools such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure prompt flow, Python, Langchain, Streamlit, Docker, Git, and Elasticsearch.
- Previous experience in a large complex organization is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage in meetings with various stakeholders, conveying technical concepts clearly. Mastery in English is essential.
- Ability to explain technical concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to a non-technical audience.
- Proven ability to propose pragmatic and simple solutions, even if they do not involve Generative AI components.
- Interest in working within a distributed team with diverse backgrounds.
- Adaptability to a dynamic environment where day-to-day priorities, tasks, and team structures may change rapidly.
Education and Length of Experience:
- Preferably a relevant Master's degree (e.g., Computer Science) or demonstrated competence.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
