Demand Planner
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to support business planning and supply chain efficiency. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and a strategic mindset to ensure product availability, optimize inventory levels, and contribute to overall business performance.
Company overview: Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of plumbing fixtures and sanitaryware in Central and Eastern Europe, with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the demand forecasting process across product categories and markets belongs to the local HUB and sales regions.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to build reliable forecasts considering local needs across all channels and segments in the assigned markets.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, NPD, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to gather input and align forecasts with business objectives.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias; identify root causes of deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate monthly demand review meetings and contribute to the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
- Maintain and improve forecasting tools, models, and systems (IFS, Excel, Power BI, other analitical tools).
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and inventory optimization.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory turnover.
- Reporting in accordance with the supervisor’s guidelines and group standards.
- Implementing the Quality Policy adopted by the Management Board and performing tasks defined in ISO quality system procedures, processes, and instructions relevant to the position.
Professional experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics in multinational organization, big data management
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail sectors.
- Familiarity with integrated business planning (IBP) and S&OP frameworks.
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM, IBF CPF, or equivalent – nice to have.
- Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (IFS is a plus).
- Experience with statistical forecasting techniques and collaborative planning processes.
- English - B2.
