Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join a dynamic Bank Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, managing risk, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the bank's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies for the Bank.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports for the Bank.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
Risk Management:
- Monitor and assess financial risks associated with the Banking activities.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate actions.
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage liquidity and cash flow for Business Banking operations.
- Optimize treasury functions to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with senior leadership, including the CFO, to align financial goals with overall business objectives
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure the team is well-equipped to meet the evolving financial needs of the Bank.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in finance and accounting.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role within the banking sector, with a focus on Wholesale Banking, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, and Treasury.
- Excellent knowledge of UK financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
