Role: Deputy General Manager – Engineering
Experience: 7+ years

Reporting to: Lead- Engineering

What you wil do:
The Deputy General Manager – Engineering is responsible for the technical design and development of the commercial products at Planys. The Deputy General Manager – Engineering therefore shall assist the Lead – Engineering (ME, EEE and MFG) accordingly. Since we are an original equipment manufacturer of underwater vehicles, most of the projects under the said category would involve development starting from design to manufacturing, assembly and testing

Development of underwater vehicle
architectures/schematics along with the mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
Wide theoretical & practical knowledge and
experience in building products.

Analysis and evaluation of product designs during the design and development of the product.
Strong theoretical background in
either mechanical or electrical and
electronic systems. However, at least a basic level of knowledge of both systems is required.

Technical project management: good judgement of timelines and budgets are required. In cases where the timelines and budgets are constrained,
the project plan must be modified to work within these constraints.
Prior experience in working on
commercial engineering projects.

Team management: Team strength must be planned and maintained as per the pipeline of projects. Effective communication with the team is necessary to ensure seamless management.
More importantly, a healthy team culture must be maintained to encourage transparency and trust.
