Deputy Manager - Automotive Lubricants

A leading global specialty lubricants provider seeks a strategic product management professional for its Technical Division. Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, this Grade JM1 role drives automotive lubricant product development, customer relationships, and OEM approvals.​

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for automotive lubricant selection and recommendations tailored to customer needs.​

• Build technical relationships with customers, resolve product complaints within specified timelines, and lead technical aspects of customer projects including presentations, training, and trials.​

• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Quality teams on new product launches, OEM approvals, training programs, technical documentation (FMEAs), e-learning modules, trade shows, and marketing materials.​

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Automobile, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (MBA preferred).​

• 8+ years in automotive product management, customer complaint handling, and project leadership.​

Key Skills Profile

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal/external interactions.​

• Experience with field trials, complaint analysis, lab test interpretation, and OEM approvals.​

• Strong analytical abilities, commercial acumen, self-driven mindset, team collaboration, extensive travel willingness, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) with SAP knowledge preferred.
