Job Description:

• Manage / Mentor the design team of minimum 5 engineers.
• Lead the team to create a range of 3D models for a number of proposal/production and development systems, products, and components using CREO/ Pro-E & Auto CAD.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice engineering vision, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Engineering drawings check, Review & release for production activities.
• Conducting design review / DFMEA for new projects.
• Responsible for Engineering release & change Management control.
• Creation of DFMEA / DFA / DFM documents.
• He should be well versed with the Mechanical component designs and functional knowledge of dimensional tolerance stack-up and GD&T.
• Basic knowledge of Sheet metal engineering process such as Punching, Laser, bending, welding, Painting and Powder coating.
• Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere
• BOM preparation & review in SAP systems.
• Liaise with project team to ensure smooth launch of new products for production.
• Co-ordinating with Customer for design reviews and release.
• Strong in Project Management (PMP) activities.
• Knowledge of Machines, Jigs, Tools & Fixtures.
• Should have knowledge of Injection molding & Gravity die casting.
• Visualize and develop packaging solution to suit the product
• Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect engineering design and development and advise others of any impact
• To make/follow internal approval / Indent approval for new process implementations.
• Preparation of 3D model and pictorial view drawings for part and assembly.
• Maintain new project records for TGW / TGR.
• Support & Responsible for IATF documentation activities.
• Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on engineering design and development. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost.
