Role : DevOps Engineer

General Description :

You will be responsible for deploying and managing infrastructure, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our stakeholder needs. You will be working on innovative and strategic projects in the automotive industry for various domains (fleet validation, HIL/SIL testing , ADAS, …) related to data engineering and applied data science. You should have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with C# and Python.

Main Duties, Operational Tasks, Responsibilities -

The DevOps team is responsible for implementation and automation of data analytics platforms for multiple automotive OEMs

• Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs inlcuding the stakeholder management
• Defining and implementing development, test, release, update, and support processes for Dev(Sec)Ops (On-Premise and Cloud)
• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvements
• Implementing various development, testing and automation tools and support operation of IT infrastructure Ensures the know-how
• development and transfer as well as the continuous improvement of leading technologies and methodologies within the field of Dev(Sec)Ops and CI/CD.
• Working together with solution architect on development of complex on-premise, hybrid and cloud solution architectures (usually including 30+ microservices)

Qualification Requirements

• Engineering education (BSc, MSc, MEng or PhD) in Computer Science, Informatics/Telematics, Mathematics/Statistics or Engineering Degree
• Experienced in modern programming languages (C#, Python) Experienced in Linux and scripting languages (Bash Scripts)
• Experienced in containerizaiton and orchestration of containerized services (Kubernetes)
• Previous experience with CI/CD tools and code management systems (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab) Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Azure Biceps, Terraform, Ansible etc)
• Educated in database technologies (SQL and Non-SQL)
• Interest in cloud technologies and platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong focus on software quality and smooth software delivery process including the skills to review, verify, and validate the software code developed
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English, German skills beneficial Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team Readiness for business trips in course of development projects

Preferable:

• Knowledge in developing CI/CD pipelines (gitlab-ci, github actions) Interest in Big Data storage (e.g. ClickHouse, BigQuery) and analytics (e.g. Dask, Spark) technologies
• Experience with security and compliance aspects in DevOps (DevSecOps, License scanning, ...)
• Experience with IoT and edge devices A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication and components
