About the role 

As Engineering Manager/Senior Engineering Manager Of Engineering - Infrastructure (DevOps), you will ensure the consistency and quality of our engineering systems. You will focus on shaping the right strategies to amplify company growth. You will build and grow the team, as well as handle their appraisals.

In this role, you will plan, coordinate, oversee technical and engineering activities across the Engineering team, and transform raw infrastructure into an engineering discipline. 

What you will do

• Own Infrastructure Engineering team deliverables – scale, stability, customer experience, growth and revenue impact
• Drive strategic vision for Engineering in terms of platform definitions, engineering excellence, etc.
• Stay on top of tactical execution with excellent judgement
• Influence organisational policies around employee well being, rewards and performance management
• Enable planning and tracking of project deliveries of varied scale
• Break down large and complex business needs into smaller deliverables
• Hire and grow the next generation of leaders
• Own business and tech metrics on uptime, MTTD, MTTR, error-rate and other SRE Aspec

What you will need

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in Cloud (public/private, managed/hosted) 
• Expertise in DevOps engineering, development and incident management
• Expertise in design, capacity planning, cost and effort estimations
• Extensive knowledge on one or more Public Clouds (AWS preferred)
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously of varied scales and complexities
• Strong career trajectory involving growth with an expanded vision
• Proven track record of owning operability (uptime, MTTD, MTTR and other SRE Aspects), cost efficiency and security aspects
• Proven track record of building teams that have delivered internet-scale products and services
• Proven ability to plan and execute change on a large scale
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and evaluate progress or mitigate risks
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, various platforms, tools and products and their respective applications
• Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related field will be an advantage
