Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Electrical Department, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to ensure its efficient functioning and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that align with the overall company's vision and strategy.
- Drive the growth of the Electrical Department by identifying market trends, exploring new opportunities, and developing innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, operations, and project management, to ensure effective integration and delivery of electrical solutions.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Electrical Department.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, resolving complex electrical engineering challenges and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical technology, emerging trends, and best practices, incorporating them into departmental strategies and solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners, fostering business growth and establishing the company as a leader in the electrical sector.
- Lead and participate in business development activities, including client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
- Mentor and develop the skills of team members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to drive their professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all electrical department activities.
- Monitor departmental performance, prepare reports, and present updates to senior management on key metrics, projects, and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Director-level position within the electrical industry in a reputed firm.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and improving electrical departments, driving growth, and delivering results.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate and execute departmental strategies aligned with business goals.
- Strong business acumen and a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications in electrical engineering or related fields are a plus.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions.
