A celebrated retreat nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Food & Beverage to oversee the operations of the estate’s outlets, all of which create a refined gourmet destination, offering a harmonious blend of exceptional dining and authentic Tuscan flavours.
The Director of Food & Beverage role is a blend of operational leadership and strategic management. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of food and beverage operations, including restaurant service, culinary coordination, bar and wine service, in-room dining and banqueting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of both F&B outlets, ensuring top-tier service, food quality, and guest satisfaction in order to rediscover the “dolce vita” lifestyle, embracing the timeless charm and warmth of Italian tradition.
- Manage, inspire and support the team, ensuring continuous development, motivation and alignment with brand values.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and department heads to drive innovation and maintain high standards and a cohesive environment.
- Monitor F&B performance through financial analysis and implement cost-control measures, analyse market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge in the luxury dining landscape.
- Develop and execute strategies to uphold brand and service standards, innovate but maintaining tradition, enhancing the guest experience and maximizing revenue.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Skills & Requirements:
- 2+ years as Director of F&B, or assistant Director of F&B role within luxury hospitality
- Proven leadership in managing diverse teams with high service expectations, entrepreneurial spirit, charismatic presence and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong sense of initiative.
- Deep knowledge of food and beverage trends, Italian and international cuisine, and wine culture
- Advanced knowledge of F&B management systems, HACCP, food cost and quality control.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
