For a 5* Luxury Hotel in Portofino we are looking for a
Director of Housekeeping
The ideal candidate is a leader who has a natural flair for 5 star hospitality and a strong commitment to excellence.

The Director of Housekeeping ensures the direction leadership in the Housekeeping department in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards established.
Reports to: Director of Rooms
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Direct the work assignments of supervisory and non-supervisory staff in an efficient manner to ensure that guests and other departments receive prompt and courteous service;
- Check Public Areas / Floors to ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced / refurnished as required. Check rooms and particularly those assigned to V.I.P. and known repeated guests receive special attention to ensure they meet standards;
- Coordinate with the other sections of the Housekeeping Department and the other Departments on all relevant matters that affect the physical appearance of the hotel and room status, keep them informed and follow up on outstanding issues;
- Focus on maintenance work to be done;
- Management of performance, identification of training need, development of training plan and implementation of training;
- Conduct monthly training sessions with existing employees in order to meet the identified training needs;
- Schedule routine inspection by supervisors, of all housekeeping areas including occupied and unoccupied rooms;
- Control usage of all amenities and cleaning supplies to ensure compliance to budget and ensure appropriate usage of equipment and tools;
- Monitoring of housekeeping policies and procedures including Lost and Found, Key Control, Security and Emergency procedures and Health and Safety for all staff and guests;
- Ensure that department profit goals are met or exceeded.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position (Luxury 5* Hotel)
- Deep knowledge in managing the hotel segment in the ultra luxury market
- Fluent in spoken and written Italian and English
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
- LQA Standards knowledge
- Detail-oriented and Flexibility to work in shifts
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to manage a large and multicultural team
- PC literate

Salary Package:
- We offer a Permanent contract with starting probation period according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 1, Director of Housekeeping
- Start date: January 2024
- Salary as by CCNL + increase to match role duties and responsibilities, separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR
