Having successfully collaborated in Romania, Germany, Italy, and the USA, we are privileged to be their preferred expansion partner. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual based in India to assume the role of Local Facility General Manager for our productive entity in Pune, which is poised for rapid and steady growth and currently comprises around 80 employees with plans to exceed 100 next year.Role Overview:The primary objective of this role is to replace the current expatriate Managing Director within the upcoming period. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned senior-level manager responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, strategy, and growth of our existing entity in India. Collaboration with the Global team will be crucial in managing the India business's strategy, operations, finance, and client-related functions, including sales, marketing, and execution. The candidate must demonstrate adaptability, solid industry technical knowledge, professionalism, and notable achievements in commercial and management roles within a similar industrial field.
Main Tasks and Activities:
- Develop and supervise the execution of short- and long-term strategic initiatives to achieve the company's mission.
- Ensure growing revenue streams to generate profits aligned with agreed-upon targets.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to generate sales leads, partnerships, and essential connections.
- Oversee and support the successful design, funding, and execution of client contracts in India.
- Manage and expand the execution capacity of the entity in India.
- Ensure robust and effective operations, structures, and processes to support the efficient execution of projects in collaboration with the headquarters.
- Enforce financial management systems to ensure the short-term and long-term financial viability of the office.
- Ensure collaboration between relevant units to ensure effective client delivery and overall organizational objectives.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, tax, and statutory compliance as defined by the country of operation.
- Develop a supply chain flow, considering possible new channels outside India (Far East) to enhance process and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in business or engineering.
- 10-15 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Background in the steel, metallurgy, mining, or automation industries.
- Highly commercial expertise and attitude.
- Proven track record of high-quality, timely, and optimized project management and service delivery to exceed client expectations.
- Proven business development experience and high-impact networking abilities leading to the generation of sales leads.
- Finance general knowledge.
- Exceptional abilities and experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact team, client, and partner-related results.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in English, with strong networking and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently, embracing ambiguity and flexibility to ensure targets and outcomes are reached.
- Experience in a multinational company with headquarters in Europe - a highly desirable attribute.
