For a new opening of a Luxury Resort in South Sardinia, we’re looking for a
Director of Operations
The resort's opening is scheduled for the summer season of 2024 and will operate under a franchise agreement with one of the industry's leading brands. Reporting directly to the General Manager, as the second-in-command at the facility, you will be in charge of:
- Supervise the pre-opening and opening phases of the facility, which includes coordinating supplier research, staff selection, and logistical coordination.
- Coordinate and enhance the efficiency and alignment of all operational activities with corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with headquarters to formulate commercial and pricing policies.
- Manage the facility's communication and marketing efforts.
- Ensure the correct implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Provide training, motivation, and supervision for the facility's staff.
- Maintain continuous oversight of the budget, accounting, and economic results achieved.
- Collaborate with the Front Office Manager (FOM) to define objectives, plan workflows, and oversee procurement management.
- Ensure high-level client service and planned hotel performance.
- Develop and implement strategies, goals, and budgets for hotel products and service levels.
- Assist the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations.
- Prepare reports for the GM and head offices.
- Organize and participate in department head meetings.
- Oversee hiring, competency, and efficient job management in all hotel departments, particularly in F&B.
- Manage supplementary sales accounts and verify incoming invoices.
- Address complaints and maintain service standards.
Requirements:
- Current or previous experience working as Food & Beverage Director or as Food & Beverage Assistant Director role, in a 5-star hotel or similar hospitality industry
- Knowledge of software management tools with operating accounts, P&L, budgets, ratios and financial reports.
- Fluent English and Italian
- Highly organized person with strong planning skills
- A proven track record of successfully leading people
- Strong communications skills and guest-oriented attitude
