For an innovative and dynamic hospitality company, we are looking for a
Director of Sales
The Sales Director is responsible to develop and implement the annual sales plan, to oversee day-to-day sales activity, to implement action plans in order to reach goals and targets. He/she will develop a customers’ portfolio for the company, building a strong and impactful brand identity. The main focus of business development will concentrate on high-spending industries like fashion, media and communication, entertainment, etc.
Main duties:
- Develops, implements and executes the sales plan.
- Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the company competitive in the national and international market
- Review sales and other revenue generating business plans, identify gaps, ensure proactive measures and meet set targets
- Implements the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the company’s sales objectives.
- Actively seek opportunities for new business and cross selling for all properties
- Participates in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close on business.
- Attend sales and commercial internal meetings.
- Participate and conduct site inspections and Fam Trips on properties.
- Develops strong partnerships with the most important event agencies active on the local market
- Develops strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional and national tradeshows and client events.
- Qualify every request, prepare and deliver excellent proposals, customizing offers in accordance with client needs.
- Occasionally participates in the event management and group reservation activities
- Prepare reports and stats for the Managing Director on weekly/monthly basis.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Customers’ portfolio in the world of fashion / entertainment / media-communication, preferably based in Milan
- Used to working with agencies that manage events
- Enthusiasm for the possibility of working in a new hospitality company, different from the traditional hospitality industry, with a dynamic and young environment
- Strong analytical and strategic mind-set, accompanied by regular use of
- daily/weekly reporting systems.
- Computer literate, with excellent presentation skills, and highly confident with Microsoft Office’s suite.
- Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Must be a EU Citizen or in possession of an Italian work visa.
