Job Description
For a luxury Resort in Sardinia we are looking for a
Director of Sales
Reporting hierarchically to the General Manager and functionally to the Group Director of Sales & Marketing, the candidate will:
- Direct and oversee all leisure and MICE pro/active and reactive sales activities for the assigned markets working in full synergy with sales representative teams, marketing, reservations, and revenue team
- Maximize room nights, ADR, and total revenue for the assigned markets in all properties part of the resort
- Co-ordinates the hotel’s sales activities with the aim of optimal room occupancy and high accommodation, as well as F&B sales, C&E and other revenues.
- Develop and implement the Annual Sales Plan for the assigned markets. Including key account plans, soliciting, and servicing selected accounts.
- Participate in designated trade, service and community association and clubs.
- Represents the Resort on sales calls, workshops, and trade shows on the assigned markets.
- Monitor, identify and reports current and future business trends to ensure profitable sales in periods of low and high demand.
- Monitor competitive hotels to ensure continual market share improvement.
- Pro-actively plans (for him/herself and the team) and execute weekly sales appointments, sales promotion, and follow ups, BOBs to achieve and exceed the revenue targets.
- Constantly and timely updates CRM software with sales calls, account information, tasks, projects etc.
- Reviews customer base to determine new opportunities for account penetration.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with other departments. Develops positive working relationships at all levels.
- Motivates and inspires other to perform. Coach, train, guide the teams in the performance od their duties as to specific position responsibilities, sales techniques, reporting procedures etc.
Job Requirements:
- Current experience in a leading sales function with an international branded hotel group, in a resort location
- Fluent English and Italian
- Excellent knowledge of relevant local and international markets
- Strong knowledge of leisure, MICE and corporate segments
- Analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends
- Self-reliant, working with minimal control and direction.
