Strategic
- Develop, plan and implement a robust business plan (machine / manpower / finance) in consultation with the Senior Leadership team.
- Review and maintain optimal organizational structure, hierarchy and headcount to balance workload as well as budgets.
- Provide leadership to the entire operations team such that all key stakeholders involved in development, production and dispatch range of products, thrive in a highly motivated & high performing environment.
- Identify and drive strategic initiatives to improve productivity / process & on time performance by benchmarking industry practices.
- Track, review and monitor key business performance indicators regularly and implement cost effective strategies as required to sustain and grow the business.
- Review and assess new technology, advanced machinery, and software that will improve quality and operations cycle time.
Operational
- Institutionalize best manufacturing practices such that able to achieve “first time right” and continuously achieve customer satisfaction by providing high quality product and On time deliveries.
- Establish mechanisms to improve productivity and efficiency at the shop floor on an ongoing basis. Target +85 OEE
- Monitor budgets / costs / expenses viz-a-viz plan and suggest mechanisms to control them.
- Conduct effective review meetings with key stakeholders involved in procurement, producing parts, controlling quality, maintaining machines, controlling Inventory, and shipping products.
- Develop a mechanism to continuously share knowledge and train resources involved in operations and review its effectiveness.
- Ensure that operations are carried out in a safe and conducive environment by following guidelines laid down by health & safety institutions and by adopting best practices.
- Ensure that workplace harmony is maintained at all times by working in collaboration with all key stakeholders (internal / external).
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to drive sales and network with new clients
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate Engineer (BE / B Tech) with 20+ years of experience in operations management with minimum 5 years in senior management / leadership role.
- Should have experience of leading a high performing, cross functional team ranging across Production, Procurement, Quality, Stores, etc. Work experience in a multi-national company environment would be advantage
