Job Summary: 

Own and champion the development and implementation of Company’s global strategic sourcing strategy.

 Contribute toward the development of the category strategy on the platform level and drive related cost reduction initiatives. To serve as the Category “subject matter expert” and provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, whilst also optimizing the development of the sourcing strategy and its execution.

 Essential Responsibilities

• Actively engages with the Division’s commercial, finance, operational, innovation, technical, and quality control leaders to ensure the sourcing function aligns with the Division's strategic intent including growth actions.
• Prepares, coordinates and leads negotiations with suppliers. Negotiates agreements to achieve results that support sourcing strategies and Company business objectives.
• Develops category specific strategies, understands relevant internal and external data and creates product/supply risk assessments. Applies 80/20 in prioritizing and where to lay the focus on spend management.
• Summarizes data analysis and purchasing expertise to develop strategic sourcing strategies. Key elements of this include effective strategy execution, monitoring results and renewing the strategy as market conditions evolve.
• Manages supplier relationships by developing supplier programs and identifying continuous improvement initiatives. Tracks supplier performance and provides feedback. Looks for opportunities to build business relationships by matching supplier capabilities with Company business objectives.
• Analyzes supplier financial position to assess supplier viability. Understands strengths and weaknesses of supplier and tracks KPIs and financial development of supplier.
• Understands raw material supply market drivers, technology and regulatory trends to develop contracts that optimize total cost and improve supplier relationships. Manages contracts by monitoring contract compliance and updating contracts based on re-negotiation processes.
