The role focuses on Driver Management and Fleet Management. The primary scope involves coordinating and supporting a team of 40 Romanian drivers. The role requires bridging communication gaps through translations and ensuring compliance with driver regulations, all while operating in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. They are seeking a dedicated professional to assist the office in managing a fleet of 35 trucks and supporting a team of 40 Romanian drivers.Work Location: Romania and/or Germany
Workstyle - Flexible: Ideally on-site but open for hybrid/remote, with flexible working hoursType of work:- Initial phase (first 6 months): Negotiable and flexible hybrid/remote model, for example, 50/50 or 75/25 (2-3 weeks in Germany / 1-2 weeks in Romania) or a similar arrangement that works for both sides. Travel costs are fully covered.
- Long-term goal: Flexible - Ideally full relocation to Germany. However, they are flexible and open to alternative arrangements, such as a split work model between Germany and Romania (e.g. 50/50, 75/25 Germany/Romania, or similar ratios). Hybrid work while in Germany is also possible. The company strongly supports this transition, offering shared housing with the Romanian community at the start, help with all German paperwork (registration, taxes, etc.), and integration into the local Romanian network (85 people).
Must haves:
- Native Romanian speaker
- Fluent proficiency in English or German
- Proven experience in transport logistics, preferably with truck fleets, including knowledge of driver regulations, laws, and compliance (e.g., driving/rest times, personnel documentation).
- High level of responsibility, reliability, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions.
- Willingness to work in both Romania and Germany with potential to relocate to Germany (ideally but not mandatory after an initial hybrid/remote period), with flexibility for a 75/25 or 50/50 model (2-3 weeks in Germany / 1-2 week in Romania).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan driver assignments, including weekly/monthly models, rotations to/from Romania, and crew planning for trucks.
- Introduce new business opportunities from sales to drivers and transition them to dispatchers upon completion.
- Monitor driving and rest times using telematics systems.
- Document legal driver errors and ensure compliance.
- Manage vacation planning, arrivals/departures from Romania, and overall driver scheduling.
- Verify personnel documents such as code 95, modules, ADR, and assess suitability (e.g., which driver fits which task).
- Provide support to drivers with problems, assisting dispatchers as needed.
- Handle work contracts for drivers and related administrative procedures, including translations.
- Optimize driver performance and support dispatchers in daily operations.
- Assist in translation situations requiring Romanian, English and German(only for candidates that speak German - not mandatory, just nice to have)
Requirements:
- Native Romanian speaker with fluent English or German.
- Experience in transports, preferably with own trucks.
- Knowledge of regulations for drivers and relevant laws.
- High level of responsibility and reliability.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions.
- Nice to have: willingness to relocate to Germany or work from both Romania & Germany
- This is a full-time position with a permanent German employment contract.
Comp & Ben package:
- Salary range: EUR 3,000 – 5,000 gross per month, based on experience (equivalent to approximately EUR 2,200 – 3,500 NET after taxes, depending on German tax class).
