Responsibilities:

1. Provides leadership, strategy and tactics to enable continuous improvement in occupational health, safety and environmental matters;
2. Recommends safety and environmental improvement KPIs for plant use and assesses trend information for problem-solving and decision-making;
3. Serves as the subject matter expert for EHS legal requirements and recommends related best practices, tools, processes and initiatives;
4. Conducts assessments to determine legal and company standards gaps and improvement needs for EHS;
5. Manages applications and amendments for environmental permits, licenses and authorizations and co-determines with operations and maintenance follow-up responsibilities and recordkeeping;
6. Manages and documents the interface with regulatory authorities, both verbal and written;
7. Provides technical training materials for occupational health, safety and environmental topics and ensures that regulatory-required training is conducted and documented;
8. Promote the EHS culture through the company by providing trainings;
9. Tracking of corrective actions following from audits, inspections and incident investigations;
10. Completing special assignments with the regional EHS Manager to support overall company;
11. Contact and cooperation with local authorities and external consultants.

Requirements:

1. Relevant degree in safety engineering, environmental science or other related science;
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS area, min 1 years as a manager;
3. Strong knowledge of EHS laws and regulations, (KIR) Internal audit experience;
4. Knowledge of HSE systems, metrics, action plans (Such as BBS, LOTO, Ergonomia);
5. Good interpersonal skills and can relate well to all organizational functions and levels;
6. Ability to influence others without direct supervision;
7. Fluent in English, both written and verbal;
8. Ability to manage the flow of all required reports and documentation;
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office
