Job Description

The main aim of job

Create/ develop the design in CAD within the agreed time and with high quality of results
Electromechanical design for electronic interconnection technology (PCB, connector, wired, housing)
and wire harness
Represents all design activities during product development, which requires close co-operation with a team of engineer, component experts, HQ engineers, test engineers, and project engineers.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Liaise with product groups in HQ to understand specific design request
To gather inputs, benchmark and research in electrical components viz; PCB interface connection, electrical connectors, EMC requirement and customer interface
Independent creation of design, child part and assembly drawings, BOM
Assessment of customer specifications and independent performing of general technically calculations
Initiation of more complex calculations
Creation and maintenance of construction- FMEAs and design guidelines/ Norms
Ensure designs are made in time manner to support release.
Provide innovative ideas in product design and VA/VE ideas for a cost-competitive product
Considers all valid procedures, job instructions, and organizational instructions.

Specific knowledge and Skills

CAD design 3D and 2D
Expert in the product area of electrical connectors and interconnection technology.
Good knowledge of PCB fixation and understand and ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and solutions.
Basic design calculations
Knowledge in metal and plastic design and manufacturing
Geometric dimensions and tolerancing
Very good communication skill and presentation skill
Preferred knowledge in automotive motors.
