Job Description
As a Embedded Software Engineer in Test you will act as a first customer to our products, using them under all potential circumstances they could be used. Like this, you will be crucial in anticipating and therefore preventing any potential issues. By working closely with the concept and development teams, you will ensure exhaustive design verification and guarantee that verification goals are achieved.In your new role you will:
- Analyze, break down and agree on the product requirements with our internal customers
- Design, implement and run verification and validation tests as part of a dynamic team.
- Define verification plans based on product requirements and drive their execution
- Agree on the requirements with our internal customers.
- Analyze test results and build reports
- Report and drive failure analysis and solution finding
Your Profile
You are a team player who demonstrates strong communication skills, knows how to establish lasting relationships and networks, clarifies areas of responsibility, coordinates your work with colleagues, and regularly shares your insights with them. Moreover, you are creative and innovative and you are able to solve problems quickly and precisely. You actively contribute to putting decisions to work as soon as they are made and push ideas to their full implementation and application by supporting the team to excellence.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A University degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar
- Experience in working close to embedded systems and hardware related topics (microcontrollers, digital interfaces, etc),
- Proven knowledge scripting languages (Python would be a huge advantage), C programming and OOP Languages
- Experience in defining and implementing validation architectures/plans
- Knowledge of SmartCards applications, Java Card OS, Applets and Global Platform it is a significant advantage
- Team player, think and act in a cooperative way, strive to identify the optimum solution to be implemented
- Live up to high quality standards and strive for continuous improvement
- Foster dialog and be open for feedback, know and use individual strengths, develop yourself and share knowledge and best practices to develop others
