Salary€33.000-36.000 annuallyLocationRomaniaIndustryEngineering & AutomotiveJob DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced engineer in the automation field to help the existing and the new clients in their project implementation phase and supervise their current service activities. This Automation Service Engineer will join our Client EMEA Field Operations team. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company with customers in various locations in Romania (mainly), in Hungary, in Poland, and other surrounding countries, and be part of the team that ensures our products are successfully launched at customer sites.
Main Tasks:
- Support all automation system aspects (mechanical, software, vision, and communication);
- Support the customers in Romania (mostly in the center & west of Romania) and into other surrounding countries;
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and failure analysis;
- Perform GUI and HMI support and implementation;
- APIs and integration with ERP, shop-floor management systems support (PLCs, drivers, robot controllers, Industrial communications protocols);
- Support and supervise integration;
- Data gathering, statistics, analytics, and representation through reports;
- Work with customer to find automation improvement solutions;
- Join customer meetings to support from business development aspects;
- Travel up to 40% of the time within Romania and EMEA region (the initial 2 weeks will be spent in Europe HQ for Training);
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- At least 5 years of experience as an automation engineer, service engineer, or field engineer with experience in multi-disciplinary systems, multi-software platforms, industrial automation or industrial equipment controls, and manufacturing/process;
- BSc in Automation, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
- Working experience in an automation company or with automation projects is a must;
- Working experience with robotics such as PLC/IPC logic and programming, troubleshooting, and configuration with industry-leading vendors (Beckhoff, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, etc);
- Technical savvy, system-oriented, great attitude to machines, processes, and controls;
- Passionate and creative, hands-on, you love to code and work in a dynamic environment;
- Self-starter - the ability to work independently with customers in the field;
- Well organized, pay attention to details, methodical;
- Capable of analyzing, debugging, and solving complex problems;
- Quick learner, team player, work well under pressure, and can multi-task ;
- Very good English skills (both oral and written);
GREAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS to have:
- Experience with robotics programming such as Fanuc, Epson, Kuka, Denso, Nachi;
- Knowledge of Serial and Bus Communication protocols: Ethernet/Profinet, RS232/422/485, Modbus, CAN Open, EtherCAT, Profibus, TCP/IP, and others;
- Knowledge of vision systems;
