Managerial Role:
Strategic Planning
- Prepare the division’s strategy and objectives in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
- Propose and ensure development and execution of the division’s objectives and goals
- Propose KPI’s for the division and its employees.
Budget Management
- Manage the development and utilization of the approved division budget
- Provide guidance to direct line reports on cost optimization opportunities where applicable
Performance Management
- Oversee the performance of the division by providing strategic direction and guidance in achieving objectives
- Proactively communicate the annual divisional objectives and KPIs to division employees
- Engage with the relevant stakeholders.
People Management
- Responsible for training and development needs of division’s employees with a special focus on Emiratization
- Maintain constant availability of the required number and competent staff to support the division in meeting all its responsibilities, plans, and objectives
- Provide constructive feedback and reward performance of division employees
Knowledge Management and Innovation
- Facilitate and manage the process of knowledge sharing to promote a culture of innovation, creativity, excellence in performance and growth
Organizational Role:
Governance
- Oversee the development of the division’s policies and procedures in line with the Quality & Excellence standards
- Ensure compliance of the division and sections to the guidelines defined by the risk management and quality management guidelines
- Support the periodic audit of the established policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Management Reporting
- Review all periodic performance reports prepared by relevant section managers and prepare the division’s performance report for issuance to the relevant stakeholders.
Change Management
- Drive the change management activities pertaining to the relevant division including all stakeholder communications as per the approved communication plan
Technology Management
- Ensure that all the technology needs of the Division are identified to ensure that processes are performed efficiently and cost effectively (in coordination with the ICT section)
Personal Development
- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
Functional Role:
- Develop a strategy for guidance and scholarship in-line with Abu Dhabi needs
- Conduct benchmarks and studies
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the division operational plan
- Design, manage, implement and coordinate career guidance and scholarship programs in line with Abu Dhabi human capital plans
- Define policies, guidelines, standards and regulations for student guidance and scholarship programs
- Design scholarship programs and national talent selection framework
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for the selection of national talent into the scholarship program
- Develop, implement and evaluate a framework for early career development of scholarship students
- Issue the shortlist of candidates nominated for scholarships and financial grants and submit it to the Scholarship Committee
- Follow-up on the scholarship students’ academically to facilitate their entry into their respective fields of study and ensure that they enroll in the field they are sent to.
- Evaluate the student’s academic performance after graduation and prepare reports on their studies and the extent to which they adhered to the scholarship regulations, especially in their field of specialization.
Qualification:
- University Degree in a relevant field or equivalent, preferably holds a Master’s degree
Experience:
- Experience of at least 8 years in a relevant field, preferably in the education sector.
