JOB SUMMARY
As an Endodontics Consultant in a top-tier hospital in Saudi Arabia, your role is pivotal in providing specialized dental care and demonstrating expertise in endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, surgical endodontics, and related treatments. Perform complex endodontics on both anterior and posterior teeth of children and adults, Your expertise contributes significantly to patients’ well-being and ensures excellence in endodontic services at the hospital.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides high-quality patient care in all aspects of Endodontics according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
- Provides consultation (inpatient, and emergency room) upon request and responds promptly within the prescribed timeframe as outlined in Organization policy.
- Responsible for the timely completion, competencies, accuracy, and eligibility of the medical record.
- Provides on-call service and ensures availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe following Organization policy.
- Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge. Ensures that discharge orders are written 24 hours before discharge.
- Performs any other clinical responsibilities related to Endodontics, as assigned.
- Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
- Participates in the Department’s educational activities and training programs. Partakes in national and international medical conferences.
- Maintains and enhances professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.
- Participates in clinical, basic, and translational research projects per the Research Advisory Council Policy to advance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education, and contribute to the national and international recognition of the Organization.
- Undertakes the administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
- Participates in all mandatory departmental activities and serves on Departmental and Organization committees and other administrative functions, as required.
- Assists the department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help to maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and across the Organization.
- Abides by the current Organization and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, and keeps updated on any changes that might occur.
- Follows all Organization-related policies and procedures.
- Participates in self-and others’ education, training, and development as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry from a recognized medical school.
- (Arab , Jordanian, Lebanese)Board certification in the relevant medical Endodontics is typically required or equivalent.
- Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent
- Membership and/or Fellowship From the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
- Min. 5 years Post Board/Fellowship in Endodontics.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
