Role details:

• Title / Designation: Engineering Manager
• Reporting Manager: VP (Head of Engineering)
• Location: Bengaluru (Preferred location is Bengaluru but candidates from Gurugram can also be considered)

Role & responsibilities:

• Interact frequently and seamlessly with senior leadership and stakeholder teams, to define and deliver on the product roadmap, delivery planning, to nimbly switch between strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve technical, business, and customer experience goals
• Own and drive multiple initiatives delivering customer-facing features, distributed systems of internet scale and data innovations
• Provide technical consulting acumen, to steer requirements gathering and scope definition, establishing the working model
• Strategic planning, handling teams & projects from concept to delivery, manage / plan onsite / offshore product development activities
• Customer interactions, delivery management (on time, within budget, with highest quality)
• Project management (tools, reports, techniques, methodologies & practices)
• People management (including evaluating suitability of resource for a project, performance monitoring, appraisal & feedback, mentoring, motivation for people development

Candidate requirements:

• 10+ years of IT experience, with 8+ in Product Engineering / Product Development
• Extensive experience and deep expertise in Analytics and BI (Business Intelligence), across multiple tools and solutions
• Extensive hands-on experience in one or more of: Java (with Spring / Hibernate), Python or any other programming language 
• Experience with microservices- based architecture (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Working experience on at-least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Software Engineering experience with demonstrated thought-leadership and functional influence and partnership demonstrated by a successful track record of enabling business through these technical decisions
• Proficiency in programming in accordance with Software Development standards, including version control Bitbucket, Git, Jira, and confluence.
• Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
• Expertise in Agile development techniques (User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games)
• Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps

Assessment process:

• 2 technical rounds with Head of Engineering
• 1 managerial round with CEO
• HR discussion
