Job Description
- 7+ yrs of experience
- Hands on experience in working with all parts of the stack
- Experience with managing deployments and creating automation workflows on at least one public cloud
- onstantly communicate with stakeholders to keep them apprised of the progress and/or blockers
- Work in an agile, high speed, collaborative startup environment to solve complex problems
- Recommend and improve existing features
- Build and manage deployment automation on supported cloud providers
- Perform design and code reviews
- Track and improve product or feature releases
- Improve platform or feature security, reliability and scalability by leading key initiatives
- Improve Esper Platform by planning, recommending and executing strategic projects
- Create standards, guidelines, sample projects, demos to influence engineering teams to write stable, secure, maintainable and quality code
- Experience in writing integration with external systems like API’s, DB, message queue etc
- Experience in building, deploying and maintaining scalable distributed systems
- Experience in driving engineering best practices for efficient software development like coding standards, review guidelines, build processes and automation
- Experience in collaborating with the Product team to gather feedback to drive technical decisions
- Customer and requirements driven approach to problem solving
- Have a shift left attitude to problem solving by identifying and solving problems during ideation, design and prototyping phases
- Become the Subject Matter Expert(SME) for the Cloud Team
- Communicate with other teams across multiple time zones to drive and coordinate changes
- Write crisp, clear and structured architecture, workflow and usage documentation
- Break down the long running projects into incrementally deliverable pieces to avoid disruption
- Objectively assess new technologies, tools, frameworks and design patterns for adoption into Esper Platform.
