About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations within a manufacturing environment in the automotive sector.

You will oversee product design, process improvement, and production support while ensuring alignment with quality standards and business objectives.

This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff

• Oversee design, development, and validation of automotive components

• Ensure smooth transition of engineering solutions into production

• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles

• Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency initiatives

• Optimize manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 approaches

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical issues

• Manage engineering projects from concept to execution within timelines and budget

• Handle APQP, PPAP, and FMEA processes

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and relevant standards

• Work closely with suppliers and OEMs for product development and validation

• Align engineering strategy with overall business goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• 10–15 years of experience in automotive manufacturing

• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, casting, machining, and assembly

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA methodologies

• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)

• Experience working with PLM and ERP systems

• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
