Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Providing strong leadership for the QA Squads to move to greater heights of value and maturity through project management, process management and QA practices.
• Participate and be seen as a QA voice, in driving required activities and validation gates running up to a General Availability of products and services.
• Develop & own functional and performance test strategies/plans and estimations for internal and external facing software application, services and servers.
• Build tools and frameworks for automated testing to improve the QA productivity, predictability, reliability & transparency.
• Responsible for the improvements in software engineering practices, process adoption and quality aspects of all the releases of products and services.
• Responsible for building a strong knowledge base in product, domain and functional areas
• Collaborate, communicate and influence product/business owners, developers and other stakeholders across the locations
• Building a strong, highly motivated, vibrant, innovative and highly engaged QA teams comprising QAEs & SDETs
• Work in a fast paced agile development environment.
Requirements
Must have skills:
• 8+ years of product QA experience, with at least 2 years of experience as QEM or SDM
• 5+ years of experience as a SDET engineer in mobile application and services testing
• Proficiency at SDLC/STLC fundamentals, software design/architecture process; test management, defect tracking tools & collaboration tools.
• Strong competency in managing project, product quality, process, delivery and people
• Expertise on QA & automation planning, test case identification, estimation, prioritisation, and release readiness decision making, root cause analysis..
• Designs and codes software using programming languages such as Python, Java
• Should have built automation frameworks using competencies like Appium, Selenium, RestAssured, Karate, JMeter, SQL, Git, Unix system, Analytics & monitoring tools.
• Knowledge and application of concepts such as continuous integration, continuous build, dev ops.
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve test coverage, effectiveness, and QA productivity.
• Good understanding and experience in working product development organisations focused on B2C, B2B, SAAS products & services.
• Strong people management skills including hiring, growing, and retaining highly talented team members with varied level of experiences and expertise
• Excellent communication – oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to fast pace development and to take calculated risks by maintaining a high level of quality of products and services.
