Job Title: Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) Consultant 3m FTC– UK

Role Purpose
The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Consultant will be instrumental in driving the Bank's commitment to sustainability and responsible banking practices. This role is designed to integrate ESG principles into the banking operations, investment decisions, and overall strategic goals. The successful candidate will work across all levels of the Bank to ensure that ESG considerations are at the forefront of our business activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an ESG strategy aligned with the Bank's goals and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct ESG risk assessments and develop risk management strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate ESG initiatives and performance.
- Monitor and report on ESG trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Operations teams to integrate ESG criteria into decision-making processes.
- Lead sustainability reporting efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Advise on green finance opportunities and sustainable investment products.
Experience
Technical
- Profound knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Experience with ESG reporting and data analysis.
- Understanding of the UK's banking sector and related regulatory requirements.
General
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead projects and work collaboratively across departments.
- Commitment to staying informed on ESG trends and innovations.
Qualifications/Education/Training
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Finance, or related field.
- Professional experience in ESG, sustainability consulting, or a related role within the financial services industry.
Desirable
- Master’s degree or professional certification in Sustainability, ESG, or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with climate risk modelling and analysis.
