Client Description:
The position will be initially hybrid, with a requirement for exclusive headquarters-based work for the initial 3-4 months.
We are looking to find an individual who will be open to the possibility of transitioning from a fixed employment contract to a collaboration through Microenterprise after a period of 6 months to 1 year. Assurance will be given that all necessary support and information will be provided to facilitate this potential transition.
It should be noted that our client's business revolves around the events industry, which will have a close connection to performance and results. The unique business model will involve team members earning income based on the events they organize, sell, participate in, or contribute to. This structure will result in a dynamic income that will grow in proportion to performance.
We are currently seeking candidates for an event planner position that encompasses sales and consulting responsibilities with our clients. It's important to note that comfort with the sales aspect is a crucial requirement for this role. Our client has mentioned some concerns about this particular facet of the job, and we aim to address this proactively during the recruitment process.
One of our primary prerequisites is a candidate's intention to change jobs, in addition to being fully available at the moment, and their strong preference for a full-time position. This criterion ensures that candidates are fully committed to this role and can dedicate their time and effort without any other commitments.
Another key aspect is the willingness to travel beyond Bucharest for events. The nature of our work often demands presence at various locations, and candidates should be prepared to fulfill this requirement. Additionally, prospective candidates should be available to participate in corporate events and parties, which are frequently scheduled during evening hours. While not all events fall within this timeframe, it's crucial for candidates to be adaptable to such schedules, particularly during busy periods like December when numerous Christmas parties are organized for companies.
Furthermore, it's essential for candidates to be at ease with the sales component of the role. This position involves engaging with our clients in a sales and consulting capacity.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, create, and manage events while ensuring all project deliverables are met within specified deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues (Teambuilding & Event Consultants) to identify requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
• Manage suppliers by sourcing, gathering information, and negotiating contracts before finalizing agreements.
• Conduct research and make procurement decisions for necessary materials.
• Generate creative ideas to enhance the quality of services and elevate the standard of events provided.
• Oversee all aspects of events, including scheduling, food and beverage arrangements, entertainment, transportation, lodging, guest lists, equipment, promotional materials, etc.
• Provide coordination and training to event staff.
• Proactively address any arising challenges and effectively troubleshoot problems during events.
Requirements:
• Prior experience in event management (preferred).
• Possession of a valid driver's license (preferred).
• Strong abilities in time management and communication.
• Capability to independently manage multiple projects and tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent command of the English language.
