Job Description
For a Luxury Resort in Umbria we are looking for a
EVENTS & SALES MANAGER
Main Duties:
- Maximise all Group and Event revenue opportunities
- Be focused on communicating, maintaining and developing client relationship
- Sales proactive activities in order to develop new business
- Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy
- Plan, direct and implement events in a close relationship with the Banqueting and F&B teams in order to maximize guests satisfaction
- Manage Event Logistics and Operations
- Ensure the Group and Events Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
- Manage and develop the Group and Events Team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning
- Ensure and provide Exceptional Customer Service
- Arrange and carry out site inspections
- Organise hotel promotional activities
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated previous managerial or supervisory experience in events departments within luxury hospitality properties
- Business development oriented;
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
- Excellent selling capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Accountable and resilient
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Fluent Italian and English both written and spoken
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
