Hiring : Executive Partner – General Corporate Practice

We are working with a leading law firm to hire a Executive Partner to join and scale their General Corporate Practice in Mumbai. This individual will work closely with and report directly to the Managing Partner.

Role Overview:

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced corporate lawyer with strong transactional skills, client-handling capabilities, and the drive to grow a practice. The Executive Partner will play a pivotal role in expanding the firm's corporate offerings in the Mumbai market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead general corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and strategic advisory matters.

• Work directly under the Managing Partner to drive strategic growth initiatives within the practice.

• Manage and grow key client relationships; actively contribute to client acquisition and retention.

• Mentor and lead a team of associates and mid-level lawyers; ensure quality control across mandates.

• Coordinate cross-functional legal advice and collaborate with other practice groups as needed.

• Represent the firm externally and contribute to its thought leadership efforts.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 10 years PQE in General Corporate law with a strong foundation in transactional work.

• Previous experience at a reputed law firm is a must; team management experience preferred.

• Strong deal execution capabilities and a client-centric approach.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and leadership skills.
