This role drives the core 40-day deployment phase on premium iSeries blade hardware, collaborating with project managers, OEM, distributor, and remote resources in a secure environment; and to lead the implementation of F5 load balancing, WAF/ASM, access control, and redundancy solutions for a high-profile 5-year government project.

Requirements
    •    5+ years hands-on F5 BIG-IP experience (v16+), with F5 SE/AWAF certification preferred.
    •    Deep expertise in LTM, WAF/ASM, BIG-IQ, GTM, iRules/TCL scripting, SNAT, SSL offload, health monitors, and GSLB.
    •    Proven delivery of F5 implementations in government/security environments; blade hardware experience a plus.
    •    Ability to work with limited client data (e.g., partial network diagrams/IPs) in high-security contexts.
    •    South Africa-based (Joburg/Pretoria preferred), eligible for SAPS vetting and onsite work.
    •    Strong stakeholder communication and project coordination skills.
 

Key Responsibilities
    •    Lead information gathering, architecture design, and initial configuration of BIG-IP LTM, WAF, ASM, BIG-IQ, GTM, and DNS for redundant HA pairs.
    •    Oversee deployment, application connectivity testing, documentation, and client handover within 40-day timelines.
    •    Troubleshoot and configure in secure environments using F5 best practices.
    •    Collaborate with PM, Westcon rep, F5 OEM, and Egypt-based resource for seamless execution.
    •    Provide post-go-live support (3-6 months initial contract, extendable).
 

Nice to Have
    •    Experience with F5 Gold Partners or Westcon ecosystem projects.
    •    Prior work on national-scale implementations (e.g., NHL, SAPS).
    •    Consulting background with government vetting clearance.
    •    Familiarity with premium chassis hardware deployments.
