The Fibre Splicing Engineer will be resposible for terminating and testing overhead and undergaroud fibre networks. 

Key Duties: 

- prep and splice fibre optic cables as laid out in the splicing matrix

- operate an optical power meter&OTDR for Testing/Falult finding

- installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre blowing equipment or required standards, including fault finding on existing network 

- live network Fusion splicing using Fujikura 70s or similar 

Skills and Experience: 

- a good understanding and practical experience in Fibre splicing and network build 

- full Driving Licence (B Category)

- manual handling skills 

- computer literate and the ability to use tablet device
