Position- Finance Controller
Location- Paddi, Chennai
Experience- 15-18 YearsResponsibilities:
- Ensure timely closure of the company's financial books and report results promptly.
- Develop accounting policies to comply with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Design or modify the accounting system to adhere to regulations/statutes.
- Prepare both standalone and consolidated financial statements for global entities.
- Guide and provide solutions for commercial and financial transaction flows between group companies.
- Offer solutions that align with Direct, Indirect tax regulations, and Company law provisions.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements punctually.
- Provide guidance for business decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes.
- Draft and review contracts.
- Prepare briefs for professional opinions.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Operational Controller to review monthly operating results and support business decisions.
- Prepare or support the preparation of MIS and performance reports for QBRs, Board meetings, and key analytical reports.
- Work closely with statutory and internal auditors to ensure fully compliant financial statements with zero observations.
- Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Typical Candidate Profile:
- Chartered Accountant / Company Secretary qualification is a must have.
- 15-18 years of experience in finance operations and financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and consolidation processes.
- Expert knowledge in IndAS, ICDS, Audit standards, and Cost audit rules.
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Direct and Indirect tax laws, Company law, FEMA, and Secretarial standards.
- Proficient in SAP FICO.
- Experienced in collaborating with senior leaders and professional firms.
- Skilled in monitoring the overall functioning of financial processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Proficient in driving process improvements, including automation and utilization of accounting software.
- Experience in the Auto Component Industry is preferred.
