Position objective:
FMC Kazakhstan is seeking a proactive Finance Lead who will manage all finance, accounting and tax matters in Country and will be responsible for statutory and tax reporting and compliance. Finance Lead will work closely with the Kazakhstan Country Leader as well as Regional Finance management to ensure efficient business partnering and support Company growth at KZ market.
This is sole position in Finance in Kazakhstan.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Finance business partnering to Country commercial team
- Sales support for Kazakhstan and CIS countries as required.
- Coordinating of monthly closing activities ensuring proper PnL as well as BS reporting for local statutory as well as corporate books for entity in scope;
- Ensuring the quality of financial reporting through cooperation with internal and outsourced parties involved in the process;
- Monitoring and analysing business financial and operational performance against budget, forecasts and PY, preparing month end financial deviation reports based on provided templates/assigned area;
- Participating in budget process, quarterly forecast and long-term planning process as per assigned area;
- Supporting the preparation of financial forecasts, interacting with management and executive levels on business activities to ensure proper financial management;
Accounting & related functions:
- Preparation of Statutory Annual Financial Statements
- Working closely with Shared Service Centre in Cork, Ireland and Manila, Philippines to ensure proper posting in accordance with KZ legislation.
- Accounts payables management
- Accounts receivable management
- Assisting in the establishment or enhancement, documentation, and testing of controls, processes and policies within the finance function in order to ensure compliance with corporate guidance and local legislation.
- Preparation and submission of various reporting to National Bank of RK and Statistics Authorities.
- T&E expenses management and posting
- Support to payroll and HR services provider in the country
- Treasury function – liaising with the bank on currency control matters and reporting. Preparation of non-standard payments (state, cross-border payments and payments to non-residents).
- Cash flow preparation and submission.
Tax:
- Ensure regular tax filings are completed accurately and on time;
- Manage full cycle for tax reporting - preparation of registers, calculation, submission, reconciliation with tax office;
- Provide tax support to both domestic and cross-border transactions, review tax terms on contracts.
- Keep a good relationship with tax authorities and external consultants/auditors.
- Management of the tax audits (desk, field) – ongoing communication with the tax authorities, arranging the provision of data and explanations upon request in cooperation with other departments.
- Monitoring of changes in tax legislation and advice on tax matters and the potential impact on the operations of the company.
- Tax knowledge sharing within the company.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor's/ Master’s Degree in Finance or Tax with focus on tax.
- At least 5 years of work experience in Taxation & Accounting, preferably in multinational company.
- Profound knowledge of Kazakhstan Accounting and tax legislation and practice.
- ERP system knowledge – SAP HANA;
- Upper-intermediate level of English.
