Job Title: Finance Manager - UK

The Role:
As the new Finance Manager, it is expected that you will have full understanding of market results based on consolidated market reporting, whilst being the one-point-of-contact in any financial questions from HQ.
Also, to support central Finance Business Partners in ad-hoc analysis for the market, prepare and lead finance monthly business review meetings (P&L / balance sheet), whilst ensuring that Group Finance standards/processes are fully embedded in local entity.
Lastly, it is key that you understand Group internal impact on local P/L - discuss development where relevant.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure timely and accurate reporting (month, forecast, budget etc.)
- To manage financial transactional processes and financial data structures
- To help prepare/coordinate budget & forecast. Support commercial plan (fin. part)
- Prepare variance analysis and ad-hoc bridges (volume/price/cost)
- Ensure Internal control and policies
- Facilitate legal books & audits and safeguard correct handling of vat/CIT/Excises
- Ensure quality of statutory reporting
- Manage GDPR relevant to finance
- Maintain company data and act within power of attorney in finance matters
Key Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience from a similar position
- Be a super user in the MS Office suite, especially Excel
To perform the above, the local Finance lead must understand full local agenda and circumstances, including the commercial activities. Therefore, the local Finance lead must be part of the entity management team and participate in all relevant meetings/receive relevant information.
As part of the team, you like to inspire your colleagues and are driven by having an influence on the company as well as your own development.
In addition, you must:
- Engage to protect the market P&L - contribute to achieve entity targets
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments in order discover and understand risks vs. target
- Provide market/business insights to support understanding of market development
- Participate in preparation of commercial plan – challenge/assist outcome simulation
- Discuss pricing, distribution, portfolio and other initiatives impacting business results
- Validate/support local business cases – investment proposals.
- Review local contracts (from all departments)
