Job Title: - Finance Manager
Salary: - Not less than £75,000 dependent on experience.
Availability: As soon as possible.
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced as a Financial Manager at a mid-sized company with 2-5 PQE ACA/ACCA/ACMA looking for a new challenge.
Local-Short travel time.
Full 5 days per week. Working hours 0830-1730.
Hybrid working not considered.
A candidate looking for a long-term career opportunity.
Construction industry experience a distinct advantage.
This will be a hands-on role so will require an individual with the ability to switch between detail and oversight and the ability to manage team members including trainees.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation particularly with respect to non-financially literate directors.
Excellent Excel and other software skills.
Experience in Cash flow Management & Forecasting
Able to offer practical commercial advice and solutions and support the Chairman and Joint MDs make key decisions.
Ability to work long hours and adapt quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Financial Director and Joint Managing Directors
- Directly managing two staff and indirectly three others
- Responsible for accuracy and oversight of the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for the main entity and quarterly for another trading associate.
- Preparation of month end reporting pack for board
- Cash flow & Profit forecasting and management
- Review & submit monthly vat returns.
- Liaison for auditors and assist in preparation and review of the Financial Statements
- Holiday cover for other team members
- Ad hoc work for directors.
