Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the COE in UAE
• Responsible for maintaining books of accounts in line with IFRS accounting guidelines
• Delivering the cash management and treasury function for the concerned LMH LOB
• Responsible for annual Statutory Audits through a Big 4 accounting firm
• Responsible for coordinating for Internal Audit assignments and executing agreed management action plans applicable for the concerned LOB
• Consolidation of Financial Statements for the concerned LMH LOB across territories
• Delivering the monthly Finance Assurance Report for the UAE operations
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to applicable taxation laws incl. VAT and Corporate Income Tax
• Responsible for documenting and implementing best practices across all territories
• Responsible to identify and automate select areas for improving productivity and accuracy of transactional practices in UAE
• Ensuring consistent application of SOPs across multiple verticals in UAE and improvises where required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for the role

Education:                                          Chartered Accountant

No. of Years of Experience:         9-12 years

Nature of Experience:                   Experience in similar roles is critical. Past experience is a must from the Big 5 Audit firms handling statutory audits (Audit and Assurance vertical) and may also include finance Shared services, Hospitality industry.

Functional Skills:                              Exposure in ERP environment is a must (Oracle, SAP), MS Office, Intermediate competency in MS Excel led automation, Certification in IFRS

Behavioural Skills:                           Teamwork, attention to detail, meeting deadlines, customer service orientation, Team leading, conflict resolution, assertiveness, comfortable to work in cross functional teams.
