Parkside Recruitment are currently partnering with a Education setting for the appointment of a Finance Manager.
You will ideally have 3 years experience in a similar position and be eager to progress your career into a fast paced role. The role is school term time only.
Responsibilities:
- Management and oversight of key financial controls including collection of cash and banking
- To be responsible for school bank account(s) and cash flow and carry out monthly reconciliations
- To scrutinise all invoices received in the school and to approve for payment those that have been properly validated and authorised by the appropriate budget holder
- To keep analyses of costs and other statistical records
- To advise on taxation matters generally, ensuring compliance with regulations
- To manage the financial process and procedures in the school for procurement of goods and services
- To maintain contact with the statutory authorities and other organisations
- To line manage the Finance staff including their development
Skills and Experience:
You must have a relevant accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA together with extensive financial management experience. Work within an education environment is desirable.
