• Prepare and submit financial reports/VAT and other tax returns according to India regulations
• Prepare and maintain accounting records for all financial transactions in line with Group policies and statutory requirements
• Ensure internal control procedures, including delegation of authority and requisition process are in line with Head Office and Group policy
• Liaising with auditors and tax agents and government bodies for all matters
• Supervision of accounting functions including overseeing statutory payments, collections from customers, vendor and staff payments
• Working capital management including accounts receivables, inventories and cash flow
• Provide advice to the management based on financial analysis and operational results
• Ensure compliance with statutory (accounting and tax) , RBI and FEMA regulations and internal audit requirements
• Ensure correct revenue and cost recognition
• Ensure efficient allocation of resources and conduct periodic review of expenditure and propose cost control actions
• Back office administration including general admin work, staff payroll & commission, keeping leave records etc.

• Strong accounting knowledge of IFRS and local statutory and tax regulations
• Good command of English both written and spoken
• Able to thrive under pressure, work independently and self-motivated
• Local and international travel may be required but not exhaustive
• Experience working in multi national company but of small set-up

Chartered accountant qualification is advantageous but not a must
