For an international Real Estate company we are looking for a

Finance Manager Italy

This role will set up finance systems in Italy and Spain, onboard external accountants to perform the day-to-day accounting and oversee the financial reporting of the assets whilst supporting the Head of Operations in preparing financial forecasts for new projects.

The candidate will:

• Work from Italian office but as part of the European finance team based in London and report to the Head of Operations for Italy and Spain
• Work with external accountants to set up the finance systems in Italy and Spain
• Once the financial systems are set up oversee the external accountants in reporting financial performance
• Work with the London finance team in the development and continuous improvement of management reporting systems, processes, controls
• Review and provide commentary on monthly performance liaising with applicable managers to ensure that all variances are investigated and explained
• Preparing business plans for projects
• Assist with the annual audit
• Financial analysis and regular forecasting
• Budgeting
• Keep relationships with all main counterparties including administrators and tax advisors, payroll consultants, management companies in charge of the investment

Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced accountant in the real estate or hospitality sector, in an international environment. Experienced in preparing business plans and able to work to tight deadlines, ability to translate complex information for a non-finance audience. Fluent in English.
