Job Purpose
- Manage the Financial Operations section
- Support with reviewing and amending policies and procedures, in addition to playing a key role in the departmental annual strategy.
Job responsibilities
- Effectively run the daily operation of the Financial Operations section and ensure smooth services are being provided to internal and external clients.
- Oversee and ensure periodic revenue reporting for the organization.
- Manage the Collections section and ensure that the organization’s collectibles are being managed and received as per finance policies and procedures.
- Oversee Account Receivables function to ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue booking. Review overdue receivables and recommend referral to debt collection agencies and legal action. Review bad debt provision on quarterly basis.
- Oversee Cash Management function and ensure back office reconciliation is performed daily.
- Ensure schedules for all functions are reconciled and signed off within the given timeframe during month end.
- Manage overall Payroll function by adhering to the Human Resources and Finance policies and procedures.
- Efficiently run the daily operation of the Accounts Payables and Payroll sections and ensure smooth operations are being provided to staff and suppliers.
- Monitor timely and accurate payments and processing of invoices for contractors, creditors, suppliers and employees.
- Review and investigate payment discrepancies, and apply rectification accordingly, as well as prepare and review the ageing reports of the vendors.
- Review and amend, if required, Finance Operations’ policies and procedures to stay up-to[1]date with the latest Finance standards and market practice.
- Manage direct reports and ensure they constantly have opportunities to grow and develop as professionals using the best available tools and methodologies, i.e. Performance Management system. Participate in developing the annual strategy in alignment with the Unit and Organization’s strategy.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- A must: ACCA /CA / CPA / CMA.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting, or a similar qualification.
Experience:
- 8 -10 years’ experience within Finance or Accounting, with experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in working in a complex environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
