Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting for a group of companies, ensuring compliance and on-time and accurate delivery. The role supposes exposure to the international environment, working closely with multiple entities of the group and preparing dedicated reports using the IFRS standards and the statutory reporting regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, collaborating with multiple teams in order to ensure the delivery of reports under the requirements of the group
• Provide technical guidance to financial professionals on accounting queries
• Prepare the financial statements for the entities of the group and forecast the upcoming financial situation
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports for the group
• Provide analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage the financial reporting exercise for all entities part of the group
• Involvement in the annual external audit for all entities, facilitating the process and providing the necessary documentation
• Improve the taxation activity and the compliance by developing suitable structures, automasing and efficising processes
• Collaborate with the external and internal audit teams to facilitate the process and ensure that the deadlines are met, addressing the  audit findings and implementing corrective measures as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics/ finance & accounting/ taxation etc.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles
• Experience with IFRS reporting standards
• ACCA qualification would be an advanced
• Advanced communication skills both written and speaking in English and Romanian
• Great time management skills, having the ability to achieve tight deadlines
• Excellent leadership skills completed by relevant experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
