IndustryFinancial Controller
Our Client is a world-leading manufacturer in the Oil & Gas/Infrastructure/Energy Industry. For their growing operations, they are looking for a ‘Financial Controller’ to be based in Athens and to contribute to their exponential growth.
The role undertakes all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, cash flow management, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures for the US-based subsidiaries.
Your Responsibilities:
- Overview of all financial aspects of the development of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the USA.
- Management of all financial aspects of the commercial operations.
- Cash flow & treasury management (bank guarantees, available credit lines, etc).
- Contribution to the set-up of an ERP system (SAP) to support our operations in the USA.
- Manage all accounting operations and the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements based on statutory and group requirements.
- Working closely with top management to share reports and analyze findings.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting and tax issues for compliance.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings in coordination with local experts.
- Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Your profile:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller / 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics. An MSc in a finance-related field or MBA or CPA/CMA nice to have.
- Exposure to US operations as well as working experience with US GAAP and IFRS will be considered a strong asset.
- Working experience with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
