Financial Controller - Miercurea Ciuc, Harghita
Our client is a prominent entity in the food manufacturing industry, both within Romania and on a global scale. They have a strong presence in various distribution channels across Romania and other international markets, including the US and Canada.Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Financial Department. The primary role of this position is to oversee financial activities and controlling processes in close collaboration with the Financial Director, Finance Department, and various business partner departments, including Industrial, Human Resources, and Procurement.Critical information about the role(s):
- The financial department regards this position as pivotal as they are presently in the process of team expansion.
- The ideal candidate for this position will need to be based at the office, which is situated in Harghita County, near the city of Miercurea Ciuc.
- Relocation package is provided for candidates.
- Within the department, there are currently two open roles with comparable responsibilities: Financial Analyst and Financial Controller.
- The distinction between these roles is contingent upon each candidate's experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and verify accounting records and cost allocation.
- Prepare accounting notes in accordance with month-end closing and necessary reallocations.
- Create specific accounting and controlling reports for month-end closure.
- Compile monthly financial analyses and reports tailored to our business activities.
- Verify and validate procurement orders as per company guidelines.
- Validate new material purchase codes.
- Manage various requests from company departments, including reports and analyses.
- Provide support during the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
- Participate in the annual inventory process, including compiling inventory lists and processing inventory results.
- Offer support during the annual auditing process by preparing specific reports.
- Adhere to the internal Control rules of our client.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in economics or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Intermediate level of English.
- Hungarian language is a plus
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
- A strong desire for improvement and a results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of SAP operations is an advantage.
