Job Description
For luxury resort in Umbria we are looking for a
Front Office Manager
Main Duties:
- Responsible for leading, training, supervising and supporting the Front Office Team (Front Office, Guest Relations, Concierge, Doorman/Porter)
- Provide assistance to guests in all Front Office areas
- Personally welcome all guests on arrival and anticipate their individual needs & requirements
- Support in escorting guests promptly to their rooms upon arrival
- Provide quality service by responding to requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout to increase the overall guest experience
- Handles all guest complaints and specific guests’ requests by cooperating with all Departments and file reports accordingly
- Serve on duty shifts and be available to guests at all times in case of questions/needs
- Ensure flawless communication of information and guest requests to all relevant internal departments
- Work closely together with the reservations/revenue department to maximize rooms revenue
- Ensure and maintain a very high standard of hygiene, behavior and grooming standards of staff throughout the departments
- Team oriented character with the ability and drive to grow staff internally (development meetings etc.)
- Holding daily rooms division morning meetings to ensure smooth operations
- Schedule weekly departmental shifts for all involved departments
- Verify cash float at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure correct statements
- Support the accounts department by responding accurately and efficiently with all queries relating to Front Office
Requirements:
- Professional experience in the hospitality business for luxury properties as Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Italian, a third language knowledge considered a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Very good computer skills (Knowledge of Protel considered a plus)
- Excellent overall communication skills facing international clientele
- Achievement and goal oriented
