The Day-to-Day

· Serve as a mentor to Junior engineers and teach them best practices

· Write complex software in Scala for Web App stack applications

· Design, plan and implement complex new web applications and solutions including Data Structures, Data Flow, Architecture, etc.

· Interact with complex data stores such as MySQL, MongoDb, Redis

· Maintain and develop complex RESTful API services, primarily for Web Application

· Maintain and develop RESTful API services, primarily for Web Application

· Have world-class coding standards and software development processes

Your Background

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

· Experience:

o 4+ years experience in either Java or Scala, maintaining and developing RESTful solutions

o 4+ years experience developing and maintaining web applications

o 4+ years working with databases and/or data stores such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis

o 1+ years experience managing a team

· Strong level knowledge of the following areas:

o REST API architecture, development, and best practices

o Developing, building, optimizing, and deploying Web Applications, on both front and back end

o Software architecture, Design Patterns, Data Structures and Algorithms.

o CI/CD flow using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

· Preferred:

o 1+ years experience developing streaming based applications, using Kafka, Server Sent Events, Web Sockets, etc.

o 4+ years experience working with JavaScript applications, both front and/or back-end, using frameworks such as React, Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks

o 4+ years experience with Linux, CLI tools & scripting, and server management
